Pain medicine, anaesthetics and critical care
Management of patients with complex cancer pain needs; anaesthesia for major oncological surgery; care of critically unwell patients; survivorship and advanced cancer.
Dr Scott-Warren trained in Cardiff as an undergraduate before starting a general medical rotation in Manchester. He switched to anaesthetics in 2007 and started advanced sub-specialty training in pain medicine: during his year-long placement he relished the therapeutic opportunities presented by cancer pain management and invested time learning the highly specialised approaches and interventional techniques in the field.
Dr Scott-Warren’s interests include Interventional cancer pain management in advanced disease, specifically cordotomy and intrathecal drug delivery, pain in cancer survivors, anaesthesia for complex cancer surgery, and oncological critical care.
