Second-on-call telephone advice
It is a well-known fact that the national shortage of palliative consultants is impacting consistent access to OOH advice. Our second on call model is there to help.
Hospital-based care
You’ll find our team of CNSs and consultants at several locations; The Christie Private Care (HCA), The Harborne (HCA) and The Alex (Circle Health). Working collaboratively with hospital clinicians, we are transforming outcomes for cancer and non-cancer patients.
Daytime board rounds, MDTs and case load reviews
Regular consultant interaction with your clinical teams supports advanced planning, boosts confidence in decision-making, and improves patient care in a cost-effective way.
Palliative pharmacy
Our palliative pharmacy service provides a direct link to specialist consultant pharmacists, who can offer your clinicians expert advice to optimise medications and help ensure safe, cost-effective prescribing.
Clinical supervision
Our consultants can provide one-to-one clinical supervision sessions for your doctors and nurses, supporting their continual professional development.
Clinical case notes audit
Our clinical case notes audit service provides a robust, objective way to assess your record keeping and clinical decision making, enhancing your governance systems and supporting continuous improvement.
Acute Oncology
Discover how our innovative service is bridging workforce gaps and enhancing patient care.
Learning
Palliative Care Courses
Our consultant-led palliative care and end of life education courses are an interactive, desktop-based subscription model that will keep your clinicians fully up-to-date.
Medical leadership programme
We’ve created a medical leadership programme, which aims to create a community of emerging leaders, and upskill and inspire them to perform confidently.
