EMMS International Global Women in Healthcare Awards 2025
Next week we are off to the EMMS International Global Women in Healthcare Awards 2025. Our CEO Charlotte Healey and our Nurse Director Paula HALL have been invited as guests of the CEO, Cathy Ratcliff as part of our ongoing charitable partnership with EMMS and the work they are doing to support palliative care in developing countries. Charlotte has also been invited onto the judging panel for the awards which is both a huge honour and big responsibility!
The awards are held in association with the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and will celebrate the global impact of women working in healthcare.
Supportive Care UK are proud to support EMMS, a charity which strives to promote equality and opportunity. Their Healthcare Career Pathways support vulnerable women in the most hard-to-reach areas in Nepal, Malawi, India, Rwanda, Zambia and Scotland into vital roles in healthcare. They undertake medical degrees, BScs in Nursing and other healthcare subjects, and career development courses ranging from laboratory medical technology to palliative care.
The Awards recognise the value of women in all roles who contribute to better health within their communities and beyond, and celebrate professionals who are dedicated to their work in health and healthcare and strive for excellence. You can find out more here
SCUK takes great pride in acknowledging the invaluable contributions of women throughout our own organisation — not only Charlotte and Paula, but the many women who contribute across the company. This recognition extends to our team of female consultants who deliver exceptional care and guidance to the hospices and trusts we partner with.
